KIVA PUR–RASHID
The Little Artist
Kiva has been drawing since she was one year old. Her first drawing was of a very colorful Peter Halley painting that was hanging in our living room. She picked markers that match the colors on the painting & did her own impression of the famous painting.
Now at the age of nine, many markers & art supplies later, her style has evolved & changed, but she is still as excited & devoted to her art as ever. She loves to sketch with her dad on weekends & to keep learning about new techniques, perspectives, and famous artists & painters.

Kiva loves to use her art to help others & raise money for charities she loves. In 2019, she raised a large amount for Ronald McDonald House NY by drawing custom portraits for people who donated towards this wonderful charity. Some of these portraits are on the website.

In 2020 her illustrations depicting scenes from a ballet choreography that she performed in, were published in a yearbook of The Ballet Club dance studio.

In 2020 Kiva participated in an international illustration competition for a new book Ickabog, by one of her favorite authors J.K. Rowling.

If you order a portrait from the website, Kiva will donate 50% of the proceeds to No Kid Hungry – a charity that works on ending childhood hunger in US.
